Recycled lids for reusing your tins

An empty tin is a sturdy, free and durable container. It only needs one thing to become a proper storage tin: a lid.
Our plastic lids have barely been used. Rather than ending up in the bin, they’re put back into service to seal your tins and protect their contents from dust, humidity and insects.

A thousand clever ways to organise

      • Workshop and DIY: screws, nails, wall plugs, nuts, screwdriver bits.
      • Sewing and crafts: buttons, beads, spools, pins, ribbons, sequins.
      • Office and school: pencils, paper clips, erasers, chalk, paintbrushes.
      • Garden: seed packets, labels, twine, small tools.
      • Home: rubber bands, batteries, tea lights, small toys, jigsaw pieces.
      • Homemade money box: cut a slot in the lid to create a money box that you can decorate.

      3 diameters available

      Diameter Compatible boxes Appearance
Ø 83 mm medium-sized tins (e.g. large tins of sweetcorn) transparent white, with logo
Ø 99 mm large boxes (e.g. green bean tins) Opaque, semi-opaque or transparent depending on stock availability
Ø 127 mm baby formula tins removable (opaque or semi-opaque) or with a non-detachable flap

How to choose? Measure the outer diameter at the top of your tin and select the corresponding size.

      Colours and transparency

As these are recycled lids, colours may vary depending on stock availability. Unless you specify a preference, they will be allocated at random. Each batch contains 5 lids of the same diameter.

For the 99 mm and 127 mm diameters, you can specify your preference (transparent, opaque, coloured) in the ‘Customisation’ field. Remember to click ‘Save’ before adding to your basket. We’ll do our best to honour your preference, subject to stock availability.

Tip: a transparent lid lets you see the contents without opening the tin – very handy for a well-organised workshop!

Pair them with our empty tin cans

Don’t have any tins to hand? Our empty, recycled tins are cleaned, free from glue and sharp edges, and available in Ø 83, 99 and 127 mm. Decorate them with paint, paper or stickers, and close them with a lid: you’ll have personalised storage for just a few euros.

Fancy a more decorative finish? Discover our beech wood lids too, with or without engraving.

Find here some ideas for personalising tin cans.

      • reusing lids that have barely been used and were destined for the bin;
