Collecting tins for your craft projects is a brilliant idea… until it comes to preparing them: stubborn labels, glue that won’t come off, and dangerous sharp edges.
We do the hard work for you.
Each tin is:

• cleaned inside and out;
• free of any traces of glue left by the label;
• free from sharp edges, so it’s safe to handle, even in a workshop with children.

You’ll receive a metal box ready to decorate, with no preparation required.

Turn your box into a money box or a personalised box

Once decorated, your box can be closed with a lid from our shop:

• beech wood lids: compatible with all sizes, except Ø 83 x 135 mm (M5). They are available with or without a slot, and with or without personalised engraving;
• recycled plastic lids: available only for diameters of 83, 99 and 127 mm.

Key to product codes with the same dimensions (__X): R = with grooves (fluted sides) · S = smooth sides · M = with product marking.

Which size for which use?

• Ø 55 and 65 mm: candles, sweet tins, small storage containers, mini succulent pots.
• Ø 73 and 83 mm: pencil pots, children’s money boxes, candle holders, spice jars.
• Ø 99 mm: vases, cutlery pots, planters, classic money boxes.
• Ø 127 and 155 mm: large planters, storage containers, large money boxes or donation boxes.

Smooth or ribbed? Smooth tins make it easier to apply paper, stickers or a label. Ribbed tins retain the authentic look of the tin and give the paintwork a textured finish.

What you need to know before ordering

• Some tins feature indelible product markings(no paper label) --> see photo of tins with markings. These are best covered with paint, fabric, adhesive, etc.
• Some have a white interior coating. If this is important to you, please contact us before ordering.
• As these are reused tins, slight imperfections or traces of rust may be visible, particularly on the grooved sizes Ø 99 x 118 mm and Ø 155 x 238 mm.
  These minor imperfections are due to their manufacture and initial use; they do not affect their functionality or suitability for decoration.
  The boxes do not have any significant dents. 

A practical way to help the planet

Each tin is sourced locally and refurbished in our workshop in Maine-et-Loire. By giving it a new lease of life, you’re preventing waste and avoiding the need to buy a new container. The metal remains 100% recyclable at the end of its life.

Are the tins really safe?
Yes, the sharp edge has been removed: the tins are safe to handle, even during workshops with children.

Can I use them for food?
We recommend using them for decorative or storage purposes only.

Which lid should I choose?
The wooden lid fits all sizes except the M5. For a recycled plastic lid, choose a box with a diameter of 83, 99 or 127 mm.
